This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, Business Operation Group (BOG). As a Supervisory Management Analyst, GS-0343-15, you will serve as a full Deputy to the Business Operations Group Director and exercise supervisory authority over the staff in the Director's absence.

Duties

Serves as a program lead and recognized expert on high-visibility projects and/or studies associated with CMS Continuous Improvement Program and the Employees Engagement and Satisfied Workforce initiatives. Provides technical guidance and advice on the most appropriate method or procedure of analysis and evaluation to accomplish CMS and CCSQ projects and programs. Evaluates inefficient works processes and develops action plans to resolve. Sets and monitors performance goals. Provides technical guidance to staff and management on continuous improvement methodologies and processes. In the absence of the Director, the incumbent supervises, directs, and coordinates the work of the supervisors and non-supervisors in the Group that go up to the GS-15 level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
