About the Position: This position is with the Army Reserve Aviation Command, Aviation Support Facility Liberty East (Rotary Wing) located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Perform quality assurance inspections. Reviews contractor quality control reports. Maintain statistical analysis of contractor operations. Verify maintenance was completed within regulations. Advise Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) on contractor performance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
  • This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
  • This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
  • This position requires an annual medical exam.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Aircraft Repair Inspector without more than normal supervision. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: Inspecting aircraft systems and components, insuring maintenance work complies with regulations, conducting inspections of aircraft forms and records, and verifying work was completed using the correct methods, techniques and procedures. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical effort: Must be able to climb on, stand, stoop, and crouch in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally items weighing up to 45 pounds. Working Conditions: work is performed in adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated areas. Some work will be performed outdoors which will occasionally be under adverse conditions such as snow, wind, or rain.
