About the Position: This position is located with Public Health - West, Fort Cavazos Vet Branch, Fort Cavazos, Texas
Duties
Provides administrative services support to the Branch OIC/NCOIC and other team members.
Assists the OIC/NCOIC in submission of requests for equipment to the RMD/Contracting Office.
Prepares the annual branch travel budget.
Makes travel arrangements using the Defense Travel System.
Reviews travel authorizations and vouchers for the activity for accuracy prior to approval.
Responsible for maintenance of records and files, utilizing a variety of office automation applications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- A National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining office files in accordance with established regulations and guidelines; using automated computer data processing systems to provide administrative support such as compiling data, preparing reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office: which included Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.ORCombination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
