This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Chief Executive, Office of Strategic Information.
As an Intelligence Research Specialist you will be responsible for providing DFC management consultant services for the intelligence research operations and other functional fields determined by senior leadership.
Duties
Serves as the DFC counterintelligence coordinator. Will have oversight responsibility for the operations of DFC's counterintelligence (CI) program, which works to deter, detect, and neutralize the threats posed by foreign intelligence entities to DFC personnel. The CI program routinely prepares classified threat assessments and provides classified briefings to staff engaged in foreign/international activity (such as foreign travel or meeting with foreign officials).
Coordinates with the DFC Cyber Security Office to ensure that the office is made aware of various cyber intelligence threat streams to enable the office to design appropriate cyber alerting, detection, and protection measures for DFC systems and information. Coordinates with other DFC offices as appropriate to provide CI intelligence information to ensure protection of DFC personnel and resources. Collaborates with other Federal agencies, such as the FBI, on possible leveraging of these established CI programs.
Provide intelligence support to DFC's Know-Your-Customer office by evaluating and analyzing financial/intelligence information and synthesizing all relevant reporting into a finished product supporting strategic objectives. Develops relationships within the broad threat finance intelligence and law enforcement communities to expand knowledge base and to gain access to information.
Serve as a member of DFC's Insider Threat Program hub, participating in day-to-day operations and will be responsible for establishing a process to gather, integrate, and centrally analyze, and respond to counterintelligence relevant information indicative of a potential insider threat.

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability in the following:
1. Experience performing intelligence research planning, operations, collection, target analysis, and other intelligence collection/analysis related activities.
Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level.
