You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the NMRTU FALLON NV. This announcement uses the Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities (DIB) and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will review document registers, document files, suspense files, and account records to verify postings and consistency with automated/manual accountable property balances. You will prepare reports on the condition of records, shortages, corrections and actions recommended to improve property accountability in accordance with regulatory guidance. You will conduct accountable property reconciliation. You will monitor and participate in the redistribution of equipment. You will prepare procedure and conduct annual inventories and maintain contact with appropriate personnel to resolve inventory problems within responsible area. You will contact vendors to arrange service under warranty or maintenance contract and schedule on site service, coordinate service schedule with customers, and follow up to insure completion of work in a satisfactory manner.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Establishing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions; Utilizing property accountability systems and procedures along with the skill to conduct extensive searches to resolve discrepancies in the inventory process; Utilizing federal stock system and property accountability requirements; and Applying standard supply management procedures to perform routine work involving inventory and excess property management.
