About the Position: Will serve as a Mail Assistant with Directorate of Human Resources, US Army Installation Management Command located at Fort Cavazos, Texas.

Duties

Monitor expenditures to ensure mail is dispatched at the lowest economical cost. Determine the proper classification of materials to ensure content pertains to government business. Route mail to organizational segments or individuals. Maintain mail room records in accordance with established procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a personnel security background check (Tier 3 – Noncritical-Sensitive (NCS)/Moderate Risk).
  • Must be willing to undergo a physical examination initially, and annually thereafter.
  • Requires a valid government issued driver's license.
  • This position may be subject to a one-year probationary period.
  • Must be willing to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain the DD Form 285.
  • This position requires the incumbent to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
