About the Position: This position is located at the Military Personnel Division on Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The installation boarders the towns of Waynesville and St. Robert. St. Louis is a 2-hr. drive and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive.

Duties

Operate the installation military awards, voting assistance program, OCONUS TDY/Leave, and AR 15-6 investigations. Coordinate, manage and operate all reassignment processing for permanent party officers and enlisted Soldiers and for officers and enlisted Soldiers in training. Review and recommend approval/disapproval for all deletion and deferment actions Manage all aspects of the installation's Strength Management program including procurement, distribution of projected gains, HQDA manning guidance, authorizations, and unit readiness. Develop, update and maintain procedural and policy guidance, including distribution policy. Coordinate the individual soldier applications and boards to support enlisted and officer personnel actions. Set priorities and prepares schedules for work completion.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1)processing a variety of routine and complex military personnel human resource functions and actions; 2) researching regulations, directives, and policies to ensure compliance of military personnel management and legal operations; 3) utilizing a wide variety of automated systems supporting military personnel functions; 4) compiling and analyzing data to identify issues; 5) ensuring soldier readiness functions are completed; analyzing military strength reports; 6) and advising leadership, subordinate units and soldiers on military human resources functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Human Resources Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
