Duties
This position is housed in the Division of Graduate Education (DGE) of the Directorate for STEM Education (EDU). EDU works to develop a well-informed citizenry and a diverse and capable workforce of scientists, technicians, engineers, mathematicians and educators. DGE's mission is to enable and inspire an inclusive, equitable, and globally competitive U.S. STEM workforce by supporting students, research, scholarship, and innovations in graduate education.
As a Program Director associated with the CyberCorps, Scholarship for Service program, the successful candidate will have the duties and responsibilities listed. The successful candidate will have knowledge of computer science education and its intersection with emerging issues associated with cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, next generation wireless, and/or quantum information science. In addition to the SFS program, the successful candidate will provide service as a Program Director for the education component of NSF's crosscutting Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program. As a member of DGE, the successful candidate will also support the operation of other existing and emerging programs and initiatives.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or a related emerging technological field, plus after award of the Ph.D., six or more years of successful research, research administration and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position; OR a Master's degree in a computer science, mathematics, data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or a related field, plus after award of the degree, eight or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position.
