Duties

Administers lifesaving procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other emergency first- aid procedures to stabilize patients. Administers oxygen, IV fluid, oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications as prescribed. Administers medications and treatments authorized by a medical provider, such as, B-12 injections, vaccinations and allergy injections. Performs point of care testing such as glucose, urinalysis, electrocardiograms, audiograms, and spirometry. Provide education and counseling to employees on health topics that comply with recent evidence base research.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position. Experience includes: Recognizing life threatening emergencies, initiating immediate stabilizing care and coordinating with emergency medical services for timely transport to a healthcare facility. Ability to work autonomously, utilizing critical thinking skills while managing multiple tasks simultaneously AND Basic computer skills and the ability to operate an electronic medical records system. -OR- A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field. -OR- At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the PU-09 grade level) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program.
