A custodial worker at Brown V. Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka, KS. The candidate will complete general cleaning duties for the park, while also operating motor vehicles up to 10,000 lbs.
Duties
MAJOR DUTIES:
On a regular and recurring basis operates light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds (such as pick-up trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.) to transport personnel, material, or equipment to work sites located on the park.
Does the full range of cleaning duties in an assigned area following general instructions on the work to be done.
Managing trash and recycling at the park.
Cleaning shop area and organizing maintenance supplies
A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay.

Qualifications
SELECTIVE FACTOR
DRIVER'S LICENSE: This position is a motor vehicle operator, which requires the incumbent be able to drive a vehicle up to 10,000 lbs. as a critical part of the position. Due to the addition of motor vehicle operation, this position requires applicants to have a valid state driver's license at time of EOD. This requirement must be met for futher consideration.
