You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the DATA SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (56000) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will serve as a Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic First-Line Engineering Supervisor for the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Competency.
You will make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, even when data is limited, or solutions produce unpleasant consequences and perceive the impact and implications of decisions.
You will apply principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise of your team.
You will identify and analyze problems; weigh relevance and accuracy of information; generate and evaluate alternative solutions; and make actionable recommendations.
Provide and oversee Expeditionary Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), data science and artificial intelligence services for the engineering, design, integration, deployment, and sustainment of capabilities and products.

Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of Expeditionary ISR and/or Data Science concepts; balancing of human capital management and technical knowledge and skill requirements; must be a strong coach and mentor; organized and employ clear, concise communication strategies. Ability to lead technical teams. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
