This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Security Services. As a Supervisory Security Specialist(Division Director), you will be responsible for bureau-wide asset protection managing the organization's core physical, personnel and cyber security programs.
Duties
As a Supervisory Security Specialist(Division Director), you will:
Supervise and lead an organizational unit staffed with security professionals (i.e., Physical, Personnel and Information Technology (Cybersecurity) specialists.
Plan, develop, and implement Physical, Personnel, and IT (Cyber) security policies and procedures.
Serve as a subject matter expert in consulting with Departmental and Bureau executives and other federal, state and local agency officials to maintain daily operations while mitigating risk, managing incidents and safeguarding the organization.
Coordinate with other executives to prioritize enterprise security initiatives and spending plans based on appropriate risk management and financial methodologies.
Oversee and manage a team responsible for physical and cyber security incident response planning and operations, to include investigation of often highly sensitive security breaches; assisting with legal and disciplinary discussions and decision-making processes.
Ensure the Bureau's compliance with Presidential directives, executive orders, Homeland Security and National Intelligence directives, and Congressional mandates regarding areas of security.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-15 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes experience performing work regarding the development, installation, and management of a security program for a governmental organization, organizational segment, installation, or other company or large non-federal unit.
Examples of such experience for the GS-15 could include:- Oversight of program-level initiatives, including IT systems development projects involving multiple IT disciplines from design to support; OR
- Experience providing advice, recommendations, and escalation of issues to management and other vested parties on topics surrounding information technology; OR
- Experience supervising a technical staff of IT Specialists. OR
- Oversight of an asset protection program safeguarding the property, facilities, personnel, information systems, and other resources.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
