Duties
Serves as supervisor for surveillance activities conducted at a Distribution Center and the technical advisor for the Quality Assurance Team.
Implements the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) at the Distribution Center to measure the Service Provider's (SP's) compliance with the requirements for Distribution Operations.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts quality assurance inspections to ensure the SP is performing at the acceptable performance levels and meeting performance criteria and processes.
Conducts necessary follow-ups and assures that all actions are taken, to include responding to inspection reports, to adequately resolve problem areas.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Implements changes in work assignments and work flow; balances workload among positions to increase effectiveness of operations supervised.
Oversees surveillance operations and assures completion of surveillance tasks within the purview of the team's responsibilities.
Plans, coordinates and conducts quality assurance inspections to ensure the SP is performing at the acceptable performance levels and meeting performance criteria and processes

Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
