This position is part of the Office of the Inspector General, Department of Energy in the Office of Inspections, Intelligence Oversight, and Special Projects (OIIS). As a Supervisory Inspector, you will manage and direct inspection operations at various field sites under the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for OIIS, and the Assistant Inspector General for OIIS.

Duties

As a Supervisory Inspector for the Office of Inspections, Intelligence Oversight, and Special Projects (OIIS), you will be responsible for the following:

Qualifications

You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date (10/28/2024) of this announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Inspector experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service managing and directing inspection operations at various field sites. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Provide Inspection Oversight to include objective planning, workload planning, and conducting allegation-based and performance-based inspections. Utilize written reports and in-person meetings to promote efficiency and economy of Departmental operations and programs. Provide oversight of multiple teams conducting performance and allegation-based inspections to accomplish departmental program objectives.
