Duties
Serves as a Team Leader of a multifunctional team responsible for the execution of the US Army Tank Automotive Command (TACOM) Clothing and Heraldry Product Support Integration Division.
Maintains 100% property accountability of Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) located at Regional Logistic Support Center's using the appropriate US Army provided system.
Maintains primary hand receipt accounts through the proper issue, receipt, and transfer of equipment using the appropriate APSR.
Manages, plans, coordinates, and executes assigned areas of the multifunctional team mission activities.
Provides logistics and inventory management support for the sustainment of OCIE items for the Army, in conjunction with Central Management Office (CMO), and control and issue of heraldic items to Army units/customers.
Responsible for the management of a variety of tasks to include requirements determination, integration of new items into the supply system, resolution of critical supply problems and a wide array of special projects.
Maintains constant awareness of both heraldic and OCIE sustainment issues to update assigned areas as program needs change or improve existing process flows for mission execution.
Applies broad knowledge and professional skills spanning several distinct functions such as procurement, production, budget and demand planning, Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) requisitioning activities, cont
etc. to ensure accomplishment of assigned areas, specifically the sustainment functions for OCIE items and supply management activities for all heraldic items.
Develops procedures to assure supply objectives of demand and non-demand-oriented items are met, and policies governing the supply and issue are established, modified appropriately, and adhered to.
Manages and executes assigned areas using a combination of established and innovative methods which provide for expedited and accurate completion while enhancing business operations.
Makes recommendations for changes in basic policy issuance and implementing instructions covering established logistics techniques, practices, and methods based on personal analysis of very general policy directives and objectives.
Assignments involve complex functions and processes that cross organizational lines.
Operations are technical in nature, embrace a variety of approaches, processes, or activities, and are closely interwoven with functions of organization and other government agencies, contractors, and customers.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service which includes experience in:
1) Operated various property accountability and accounting systems; 2) Advised and provided counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures and directives; 3) Performed inventories, resolving discrepancies, and managing property audits or inspections; and 4) Proposed logistics policy modifications. The above experience may have been gained as a Property Book Officer, supply sergeant, or logistics officer, directly managing property accountability and inventory control. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower band/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
