You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the Security Division (C1120), Executive Director of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will serve as the principal advisor to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Security Director on technical matters concerning telecommunication concepts and practices emphasizing physical and industrial security systems support capabilities.
You will utilize military and civilian resources, to implement and validate security processes in accordance with higher authority complex security policies, programs and Physical Security compliance requirements.
You will initiate and direct the development and maintenance of a broad range of security systems and processes.
You will evaluate the functionality of CCTV camera and recording systems, electronic sensors and controls, and communications techniques as well as technical issues required to maintain system effectiveness.
You will review capability and adequacy of security system designs and specifications, to ensure that all applications, operational tools and technologies function adequately and meet compliance requirements.
You will evaluate methods to improve security and loss prevention systems on a continuous basis through the use of auditing, review and assessment.
You will develop policies, procedures and techniques to measure and improve Branch, Division, and Department productivity to enhance organizational effectiveness.
You will ensure physical security surveys and audits are conducted and all technical equipment is operating effectively to support a robust security posture.
You will oversee and manage development of training requirements for staff personnel.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating telecommunication security requirements to identify deficiencies, develop recommendations and implement solutions to complex system problems for an organization.
