You will serve as a MAINTENANCE HELPER in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will perform helper duties and shop support work to painters, carpenters, and plumbers. You will assist painter by performing simpler and more routine duties of the painting trade and work with the journey level painters as instructed. You will prepare or gather all necessary tools and equipment for projects or assignments. You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment. You will use common hand tools and portable power tools associated with the painting trade. You will identify and remember the use of a variety of plumbing tools, parts, equipment and materials.
