THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5114000 and is part of the MEDICAL COMMAND, National Guard.

Duties
As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-09, you will develop, analyze, evaluate, advise on, and/or improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management.
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
- For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
- The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. Must have experience as a management analyst in an analysis role and perform a variety of studies/assignments. Must have experience conducting project studies to ascertain the need for changes in existing management studies or methods of operation such as work processes, functional responsibility, operating techniques, organizational structure and other factors affecting the efficient and economical use of available resources. Must have knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques to conduct analysis and studies; knowledge of administrative regulations and operating procedures; and knowledge of management principles and organizational theory, techniques, procedures, and regulations.
Education
