THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number D1256000 and is part of the LOGISTICS, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Duties
As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0343-9, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks involved in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on and/or improving maintenance management operations and procedures.
Requirements
- National Guard Membership is required.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Must be able to obtain the appropriate security clearance within one year of appointment.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. Must have experience with work involving studying, analyzing, and evaluating maintenance procedures to make recommendations for improvement. Must have experience analyzing maintenance capabilities, production effectiveness, equipment reliability, and determines deficient areas and trends. Must have experience planning and carrying out projects; study, analyze, and evaluate maintenance procedures; and make recommendations for improvement.
Education
If you are using education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to .such a degree.
