Duties
Serves as a supervisor within the Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Human Resources Services, Information Systems (DHRS-DS).
Serves as the agency expert for Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and addresses complex questions and issues which are resistant to standard practices or innovated methods to resolve the issue.
Oversees the deployment, delivery, operation, sustainment, and maintenance of DLA's DCPDS and subordinate information systems in coordination with DoD system representatives.
Develops and implements plans to manage the functional administration of the DCPDS system to include items such as release testing, integration of new features, account maintenance, database conversions, table maintenance, interface issues,
(cont.) training, mass actions, reconstructs and resolution of processing problems, and payroll reconciliation.
Manages the agency's DCPDS/MyBiz/MyWorkplace help desk and responds to human resource staff question through subordinate staff ensuring all queries are researched for policy implementation with system requirements.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory HR Specialist (Information Systems) your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Overseeing the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) for an agency.- Leading a team of employees in Human Resources whose primary mission is to implement, administer and support DCPDS and subordinate applications.- Managing DCPDS and subordinate system program requirements, for the development, enhancement, maintenance, and future development of the HR information systems.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
