This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.
Duties
As an Space and Asset Manager, you will:
Manage programs related to space planning and design, construction, real property management, personal property management, fleet management, and telecommunications and technology.
Manage programs related to space planning and design, construction, real property management, personal property management, fleet management, and telecommunications and technology.
Represent the division, the Office of Facilities Management, and the OA in regard to division programs.
Direct an organization comprised of three branches and is the immediate supervisor of each branch chief. Maintain an organizational environment that positively influences employees' ability to deliver high quality and timely products and services.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Presenting to and briefing high level internal and external management to overcome a challenge or report on findings / recommendations; AND
-Developing and monitoring budgets for lease holdings and related space / building projects; AND
-Developing capital investment strategies to manage assets that serve long-term portfolio / agency goals; AND
-Supervising or leading a staff performing highly technical work.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
