You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (FLEET MANAGEMENT) (OA) in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
GS 6 SALARY: $45,994.00 - $59,794.00 PER ANNUM
GS 7 SALARY: $51,110.00 - $66,445.00 PER ANNUM
Duties
You will perform transportation assistant work involving the management of a large motor vehicle fleet.
You will monitor and analyze vehicle utilization and maintenance.
You will identify problems, develop solutions, and recommend changes in procedures and policies to higher level personnel.
You will update, revise, sort, calculate, manipulate, and covert spreadsheet data into various formats, programs, and reports.
You will be responsible for short-term and long-term commercial rentals for light and heavy vehicles/equipment.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Updating, revising, sorting, calculating, and manipulating data in spreadsheets to meet multiple report formats and producing standard reports; 2) Providing policy and regulatory guidance to organizations on the general utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; 3) Analyzing data and recommending repairs, discontinuance, disposal, and/or replacement of vehicles; and 4) Receiving requests from customers, determining the validity of request, non-availability of government assets and ensuring funds are available. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining and compiling data using office automation software and assisting in the preparation of reports; 2) Collecting data on vehicles and reviewing reports addressing maintenance, vehicle cost, and funding to identify problems; 3) Assisting in periodic inspections and maintenance reviews of vehicles and equipment to ensure maintenance is properly performed; and 4) Collecting data on vehicles and reviewing reports addressing maintenance, vehicle cost, and funding to identify problems. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
