About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Duties
Performs analysis and prepares reports on cybersecurity assessment results and tracks the overall compliance of all sites with open findings.
Prepares CCRI Compliance reports to Joint Forces Headquarters Command (JFHQ)/Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER)/Network Enterprise
Technology Command (NETCOM) and to the unit assessed.
Develops, implements, and coordinates activities designed to ensure, protect, and restore information technology (IT) systems, services, and capabilities.
Supervises a group of employees performing work at the GG-12 or equivalent level.
Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
Leads on-site CCRI inspections.
Conducts entrance briefings with the commander or designated representative of the organization being inspected.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position is designated Special-Sensitive therefore the employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on an SSBI background investigation with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI).
- Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- This position is mission essential, subject to an on-call, 24x7 mission requirement and may be subject to rotating shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays in times of emergency or crisis.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe the following quality experience:
(1) providing expert technical advice and guidance on cybersecurity or information systems security; (2) ensuring cybersecurity programs are in compliance with current policies and procedures; (3) applying methods to resolve complex Information Technology issues; and (4) leading team members through an assignment, project, or problem to be solved.
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others.
