This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, PRIVATE SECTOR ENGAGEMENT. As an Industry Engagement and Relationship Specialist, you will report to the Assistant Director and provide assistance by leading and coordinating CFPB's engagements and relationship management with private-sector industry businesses based in the U.S. and abroad that impact American consumer finance across all sectors, as well as their respective trade associations.

Duties

As an Industry Engagement and Relationship Specialist, you will: Identify, develop, and sustain strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to support and amplify CFPB's mission and priorities. Engage with industry stakeholders to create collaborative opportunities that advance the Bureau's work on behalf of consumers in the financial marketplace. Develop content and materials for discussions with industry stakeholders regarding the Bureau's rulemakings, policy work, and other significant public rollouts.,i.e., talking points, memos, presentations, and website content, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience: To qualify at the CN-53 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the CN-52 level (For qualification purposes, the CN-52 level is broadly equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Government.) Specialized experience for this position is: Experience working with industries to understand issues that impact consumer financial products and services and/or consumer financial protection issues, such as banking, mortgage, debt collection, medical, etc; AND Experience analyzing industry trends, demographics, behaviors, needs, expectations, feedback, and customer service to establish relationships; AND Experience managing stakeholder interactions including building relationships, setting clear guidelines, and sharing an organization's strategic direction; AND Experience communicating laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and initiatives that impact consumer finance to stakeholders. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
