About the position: Serves as the Business Development Specialist for the Nashville District, USACE, focused on community engagement, outreach, and policy development to advance the District's mission. Acts as the primary liaison for Congressional staff, local officials, and Federal agencies. Leads strategic planning and manages the District's Strategic Business Plan, fostering collaboration and strengthening relationships with key external stakeholders.

Duties

Develop a comprehensive business development program that sets clear goals and strategic vision for the upcoming year, driving the District's growth and maximizing its impact. Provide strategic guidance and direction to senior leaders of the District on emerging business sectors and opportunities, helping align with the District’s vision and build partnerships with key external stakeholders. Assess public and community needs to ensure our strategies effectively build relationships with civil works sponsors, stakeholders, and project partners, fostering collaboration and support for the District's initiatives. Identify prospective clients whose needs align with the Nashville District’s strengths, fostering partnerships and collaborations that drive growth and expand opportunities within the Corps’ network. Create talking points and materials for local congressional and community engagements, ensuring senior leaders have the context and objectives needed for successful interactions. Conduct market research to analyze industry trends and competitor activities, informing business strategies and identifying new growth opportunities. Participate in networking events and conferences to represent the District, promote business development initiatives, and foster relationships with potential clients and partners. Establish the vision and direction of the District marketing program.
