You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the Department of the Navy (DON) Office of the Chief of Information (CHINFO) of CHINFO WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

You will lead a team to develop communication plans and strategies to share the Navy's story, defining tactics, tools and events to achieve the enterprise communication mission. You will conduct research, plan, review, create, and/or share timely, relevant, and compelling communication plans and support documents that conveys information concerning a range of subjects related to the organization's programs. You will lead the evaluation of CHINFO’s communication plans/strategies and ensure CHINFO’s communication efforts achieve intended goals and objectives. You will communicate strategies and ensure compliance with all standards and regulations. You will assess the authenticity, accuracy, value of information, and determine how to best use Navy’s breadth of products and events to advance the Navy’s narrative and reach specific audiences.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

For GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, managing and leading enterprise communication planning efforts, crafting communication and campaign goals and objectives aligned to organizational priorities Ability to assess how communication efforts meet organizational communication goals. Ability to advise leadership on necessary efforts to meet intended communication goals. For GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing enterprise communication plans, crafting communication goals and objectives. Leading the assessment of communication and campaign plans designed to achieve goals and objectives aligned to organizational priorities. Ability to assess how communication efforts meet organizational communication goals.
