This position is a Administrative Support Assistant, GS- 0303-6/7 working in Marquette, Michigan for the R3-Marquette Biological Station.

Duties
As a Administrative Support Assistant your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Serves as primary contact for phone calls, public, and guests to office; arranges meeting logistics and information packets.
Provide administrative support services such as: prepare and monitor personnel actions; prepare, maintain, and ensure accuracy of time and attendance; assist with payroll problems; provide HR assistance and guidance.
Provides guidance and assistance in all personnel matters including tracking and scheduling of medical clearance/surveillance, health benefits, and retirement information.
Reviews outgoing correspondence for proper spelling, grammar, format and arrangement of material.
Procure necessary supplies, equipment, and services; follow procurement rules and regulations.

In order to qualify for this position, you must possess the Minimum Qualification:
Minimum Qualification [GS-06]:
One (1) year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: review an organization's funds or financial data to ensure accuracy; prepare and ensure accuracy of time and attendance reports through an electronic time and attendance system; procure supplies, equipment or services in accordance with regulations governing the type of purchase; prepare oral briefings and written reports for management on financial or administrative matters; provide organizational support services for an organization such as preparing forms, documents or correspondence, or responding to procedural questions from the public. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient detail to prove you have one year experience performing these duties.
Minimum Qualification [GS-07]:
One (1) year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the GS-6 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience includes: knowledge of administrative functions; knowledge in the use of various word processing and spreadsheet software; coordinating procurement and contracting regulations, policy and procedures; knowledge of annual work planning and analyzing funding requirements; preparing/reviewing travel vouchers; preparing and submitting payment packets; serving as a timekeeper using an automated system; coordinating staff training; maintaining file system; knowledge of personnel functions and procedures and preparation and monitoring of personnel actions; meeting and communicating effectively with others. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient detail to prove you have one year experience performing these duties.
