About the Position: Position serves as the Chief, Personnel Support performing a variety of management and administrative functions for military and civilian personnel assigned to the Directorate, at the Army Human Resources Command, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate, at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Ensure the customer support representative (CSR) coordinates and prepares a rating roster for both military and civilians to ensure ratings are completed and forwarded to Processing and to DFAS for payment of performance awards.
Furnish supervisors and subordinates with periodic report of progress, workload and accomplishments.
Provide the full range of supervisory and personnel management support for assigned staff.
Serve as liaison between management and servicing Civilian Personnel Advisory Centers (CPACs).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Supervisory Probationary Period is required unless the requirement has been previously completed.
- Position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the requirement has previously been met.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Provide support for the review, monitoring, and reporting of manpower and budget requirements. 2) Military personnel actions to include military evaluation reports and military awards and decorations. 3) Review position descriptions. 4) Assist leadership in administering various personnel related programs such as incentive awards, support forms and evaluations, payroll issues, and leave transfer program and 5) Manage the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY Promotion NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee.
TEMPORARY Promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY Appointment NTE 1 year if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee.
TEMPORARY Appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.
Education
