Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for management of the finances pertaining to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Incumbent will provide technical assistance by serving as a point of contact for purchase card obligations and reconciliation, assist with processing invoices, and serve as the Transit Coordinator in the transit subsidy program.
Typical work assignments will include:
Reviewing obligations, expenditures, unobligated orders and available balances to ensure they are properly maintained, supported, and documented.
Assisting with the review and reconciliation of data to ensure obligations contain sufficient funds for payment of invoices.
Assisting with the verification of input data into financial databases for accuracy and compliance with obligation procedures.
Assisting with reconciliation of purchase card charges for supplies, equipment, and other miscellaneous expenses to ensure charges are appropriate in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Assist team members with purchase card reconciliation in financial database systems.
Serve as a coordinator in a transit subsidy program.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Each grade has 10 step rates and GS employees are usually hired at step one of the applicable GS grade level at which the applicant qualified. The salary range for a GS-7 in San Francisco, California is $61,023- $79,331 (step 1 through step 10).
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
- You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
- If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
- Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
- You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement and before placement in the position.
Qualifications
GS-7: To be eligible at the GS-7 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level.
Specialized experience is defined as performing the following types of duties: reviewing, examining, and processing bills (vouchers) for correctness and payment; entering data in an automated accounting system, correcting invalid/incorrect entries; reconciling accounts and closing accounts when funds are no longer needed; and reviewing documents to verify accounting data.
