You will serve as a Visualization Production Applications Specialist creating visual materials to communicate specified intelligence information in a visual form that will convey the intended message to, or have the desired effect on, the intended audience. You will plan, implement, and maintain files of visual information presentations from all-source material. This position is located within the Intelligence Cycle Management Department of OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE in Suitland, Maryland.
Duties
You will apply expertise in visual and multimedia design and steward the development of analytic products.
You will lead critical product conceptualization services, with a particular focus on visualization or examining data and methodologies in line with Intelligence Community Tradecraft Standards and Office of Naval Intelligence production guidelines.
You will identify opportunities for structured analytic techniques and steer analysts through the conceptual design of their visuals, to include product formats, hierarchy, and data visualization.
You will plan, implement, and maintain files of visual information presentations from all-source material.
You will collect, review, interpret, evaluate and integrate data from multiple sources in developing visual information presentations and informal training materials.
You will maintain liaison with personnel in other intelligence activities or agencies to discuss visual presentation production requirements and provide information.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- Some travel required (within/outside US).
- May be required to work after hours or weekends to support last minute priority production requirements.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Utilize multimedia software, technology, and equipment to advise on the production of complex intelligence products;
Collaborate with management and customers as needed to develop projects and deadlines in accordance with guidelines;
Generate diverse graphic design concepts, specialized electronic publishing materials, and digital imaging processes and techniques in keeping with applicable directives.
Experience must be in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position being filled. This includes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means.
