This position is in Region 9, Mission Support Division, Infrastructure Service Branch, Regional Operations and Facility Management Section. About Region 9 : Region 9 This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).*EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: 1 year of full-time undergraduate study is 30 semester or 45 quarter hours. 1 year of full-time graduate education is the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study; if that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours is considered 1 year of full-time study. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as analyzing and evaluating facility management programs for effectiveness; providing vehicle fleet operational support and management; and advising management on customer service issues, and recommending solutions. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of project management concepts and principles. Ability to analyze programmatic and administrative data to support policy guidance and work plans. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to asset management. Skill in the design, development, and maintenance of websites. Knowledge of rules and regulations covering Interagency Agreements and contracts. Skill in written communication. Skill in oral communication. Ability to search and review current literature for new approaches, principles, theories, and techniques for analyzing facilities management processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
