Duties
As a/an Director CPD (Field), you will:
Oversee the effective management of a grant portfolio, CPD formula and competitive programs which includes large metropolitan areas and significant financial investments, ensuring the timely processing of grant applications, contract execution, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as HUD guidelines.
Develop and execute multiyear and annual plans which are aligned with Departmental strategic goals and are responsive to specific needs of the community involving the Field Directors in the process.
Delegate authority to subordinates supervisors and hold them accountable for the performance of their organizational unit.
Serve as CPD's primary regional representative over Field Offices jurisdictions, promoting CPD programs and Departmental initiatives.
Represent HUD and CPD at national, state, local other professional meetings and conferences.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Specialized Experience for this position includes meeting 3 of the 4 items in the following:
Directing or providing management oversight of housing and community or economic development programs; AND
Managing the development of administration of grant programs designed to improve the economic, physical, and social conditions of persons living in poverty; AND
Managing collaborations with Federal, State, and local officials and organizations regarding housing, economic and community development issues and resolving controversial projects; AND
Directing and providing management oversight to a team that oversees grant management efforts and ensures compliance over programmatic issues and financial resources.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
