You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist in the Plans, Policies, and Operations (Security), Provost Marshall Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties
You will conduct physical security surveys and crime prevention surveys.
You will participate in facility construction and renovation meetings.
You will be responsible for the daily support and maintenance of the installation Lost and Found Program.
You will support physical security education training programs for Military Police and Law Enforcement personnel assigned to the installation.
You will review all security requirement waivers and exemption requests from the installation and tenant commands.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to shift work; subject to 24-hour recall and will maintain a 24-hour recall notification number and is required to respond. May be subject to being interrupted from meal or other work breaks while on duty.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining access control; 2) Inspecting, analyzing, and evaluating security systems; 3) Utilizing various security systems; and 4) Assisting with developing security program policies and procedures.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
