Duties
Manages, plans, and directs the daily operations of a golf course facility to include golf course maintenance. Represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups and other agencies.
As a second level supervisor reviews the actions of subordinate supervisors including other PGA Professionals.
Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, and develops activity financial plan and operating budgets to include Capital Purchase and Minor Construction. Prepares financial and operational briefings as required.
Responsible for all food and beverage operations within the facility.
Provides and maintains teaching program for patronage at the individual and group levels, to include personal lesson participation.
Requirements

- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be a PGA member class “A” in good standing within 2 years of employment.
- This position is dual compensation exempt; All GS and NAF employees holding FLEX positions are eligible to apply for this position.
- Must be available to work varying and/or rotating shifts to include nights, weekends holidays and early mornings (reporting as early as 4:00AM).
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience managing or directing the activities of a golf course.
A 4-year college degree in a business-related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.

In accordance with IMCOM Regulation 215-1, Chapter 4-3u., each Golf Manager must be a Professional Golfers Association Class "A" Certified Member in good status. Those Non-PGA Member golf managers that have successfully completed Level II PGA training & I and Superintendents Courses meet this requirement.
