Duties

Primary duty is to support the Cadet Summer Training (CST) Transportation Program Responsible for the effective and efficient management, operation, planning, and direction of the Cadet Summer Training Transportation Operations Program Develop work schedules and sequence of operations on a weekly, monthly, or project-to-project bases for submission to the Camp Commander(s) and staff Subject matter expert in one or more major transportation functions, including passenger travel, movement of equipment and materials, and/or fleet management in support of CST Units

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10%.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret background clearance check.
  • Driver license required.
  • One year probationary period may be required.

To qualify you must meet one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) providing technical guidance on transportation services, equipment operations, maintenance and repairs; 2) analyzing utilization of fleet equipment and creating reports or summaries of studies; 3) conducting transportation and fleet studies and making recommendations for improvement; and 4) monitoring vehicle accidents and repairs to motor vehicles and preparing reports. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsProblem SolvingTechnical CompetenceTransportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-07.

Education

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
