This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Diversion Control Division (DC), Diversion Financial Unit (DPAF), Arlington, VA.
This position's primary purpose is to oversee the management, coordination, and controls of the property and/or equipment for the Diversion Control Programs inventory management program.

As a Property Management Specialist your typical work assignments may include:
Managing, coordinating, and controlling Diversion Control Fee Account (DCFA) funded accountable and non-accountable property and/or equipment for the Diversion Control Program (DCP) inventory management program.
Developing, conducting, and implementing organizational procedures required to maintain a comprehensive equipment control program.
Researching and implementing new and improved methods and procedures for addressing areas of acquisition, storage, inventory, issuance, repair, and placement of supplies.
Identifying and analyzing issues, gathering information, and developing recommendations to improve, enhance or advance the effectiveness and efficiency of operations in support of the DC initiatives.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to GS-2001-GS-11. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes:
GS-12: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level which includes performing the following duties: 1) Ensuring the disposal, transfer, and surplus of property is properly accounted for and maintained according to laws, regulations, and policies; 2) Processing invoices associated with the procurement, receipt, and dissemination of property; 3) Managing the inventory and cataloging of accountable and non-accountable property via reports, documents, and tracking systems; 4) Providing guidance, advice, and training on the acquisition or disposal of excess property.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
