Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as providing expert knowledge of project management techniques and applying organizational principles and practices.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as analyzing organizational processes or initiatives; and developing or advising on organizational development programs or strategies.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of principles and practice related to organizational development.
Ability to advise on organizational development strategies and programs.
Skill in strategic planning.
Skill in program management.
Ability to apply analytical techniques to the study of management processes and operational procedures.
Knowledge of communication techniques.
Ability to collaborate with diverse group of professionals.
Skill in oral communication
Ability to Identify organizational and employee development needs by assessing root causes and performance gaps.
Ability to develop methods for measuring performance management to assess alignment with organizational goals.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
