You will serve as a PARALEGAL SPECIALIST in the Secretariat Office of the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) of NVRECRUITNGCMD.
Duties
You will brief management on the status of all pending legal actions or investigations to ensure they are well versed on all matters that may require higher level review.
You will prepare and track all reports required for financial disclosure and ethics training programs.
You will use research findings to develop point papers, information papers, decision papers and presentations.
You will identify interrelationships among cases, statutes, regulations, and other legal authorities.
You will draft legal memoranda, research summaries and correspondence to support a full range of legal services.
You will collaborate in a team to develop solutions to a problem.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting investigations and preparing/reviewing reports of investigation for correct form and legal sufficiency. 2) Organizing reports of investigation and related documents into case files, updating case trackers/management systems, preparing non-judicial punishment charges and related rights notifications, preparing administrative separation processing notifications, and preparing requests for defense counsel assignment. 3) Organizing evidence and preparing oral arguments for presentation at administrative boards. 4) Document the results of non-judicial punishment and administrative boards, preparing executive correspondence to memorialize results. 5) Researching relevant Navy & DoD directives, statutes, and case law to answer legal questions. 6) Preparing ethics-related correspondence analyzing the application of ethics rules to specific situations, preparing post-government employment advice letters, reviewing and drafting gift disposition forms, reviewing flag travel worksheets. 7) Receiving, reviewing, and forwarding PII Breach Reports. Conducting or supervising PII spot checks & training.
