You will serve as a PARALEGAL SPECIALIST of NVRECRUITNGCMD.

Duties

You will deliver justifications to other attorneys to assist with preparing for hearings and other adjudications. You will draft briefs or other written documents to advise attorneys on legal research. You will administer legal research in the areas of civilian law or employment law. You will analyze problems and procedures to recommend solutions. You will answer questions regarding legal issues and processes to provide guidance.

Qualifications

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applies basic knowledge and skills to perform paralegal assignments; 2) Utilizes fact-finding and issue spotting, interpreting regulations and policies in order to draft legal documents; 3) Performs recurring assignments that fall within established precedents using legal principles and concepts, legal research methods, and data analysis techniques; and 4) Applies rules and regulations related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applies law, rules and regulations involving litigation or litigation support, or administrative law to provide research or paralegal support; 2) Utilizes various laws, principles, concepts, and methods of legal research, to include automated legal research systems and legal reference sources to perform complex level research; 3) Performs legal research into legislative history, precedents, decisions, and opinions that may be applicable to identifying and locating relevant facts and preparing analyses of finding; and 4) Applies rules and regulations related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Or
I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Or
