This position is located in the Kluge Center within the Library Collections and Services Group at the Library of Congress and reports directly to the Director, Kluge Center. The position description number is 405278. The incumbent of this position will work a Flextime work schedule. This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position.

Duties

The position serves as a Research Assistant in the Kluge Center and applies knowledge of research, data collection, manipulation and analysis, writing and quality control to perform independently, analytical assignments of moderate difficulty.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform research and analysis.** Ability to prepare written research materials.** Ability to utilize information technology.** Ability to apply knowledge of research resources. Ability to collaborate. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
