About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties
Develop guidelines in performing evaluations to be utilized by other quality assurance specialists.
Ensure quality assurance requirements are maintained for completing the depot's mission.
Supervise all quality assurance aspects of maintenance programs, recertification programs, operations, and processes.
Oversee quality assurance programs to evaluate depot's conformance to specified quality requirements.
Review performance data collected to determine areas that in-depth analysis is warrant.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15-20% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
- Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years.
- Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
- Temporary reassignment may be made or extended at management discretion.
- Position may be converted to permanent without further competition if an authorized space becomes available.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires incumbent to successfully complete the Civilian Education System Course within the first 12 months of employment.
- This position requires incumbent to successfully complete the Supervisory Development Course within the first 12 months of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Performs quality audits to make recommendations to ensure reliability of services. 2. Conducts trainings to broaden employee skills by cross training to meet workload requirements and 3. Reviews quality operating systems for adequacy pertaining to quality program requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
