Duties

Report information to Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on materials failing to meet contractual quality specifications. Prepare written reports of laboratory findings, evaluations, and recommendations of rubber products and phases. Perform audits to ensure equipment is up to date and properly calibrated for manufacturing rubber products. Test various rubber samples to determine factors such as modulus of breaking points, elasticity rupture, and tensile strength. Present training over rubber products such as rubber materials, techniques of reconditioning rubber component, etc.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position requires a deployment physical examination for traveling OCONUS.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years.
• Position may be converted to permanent without further competition.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
