This position is in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity (Fair Lending). The incumbent leads the Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity, which provides expertise and coordination to set the Bureau's strategy on fair lending issues-including efforts to rein in emerging activities by entities that prevent fair, equitable, and non-discriminatory access to credit.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this Executive-level position, you must have substantial specialized experience, which is defined as: Experience with federal fair lending and anti-discrimination laws; AND Experience using advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in credit decisions, access to credit, and/or emerging credit products; AND Experience employing continuous process improvement to ensure people, processes, and technology are aligned and incorporated into an organization's mission; AND Experience reviewing and evaluating organizational programs for the purpose of asserting their effectiveness against overall organizational goals and objectives, as well as experience designing and implementing program improvements to enhance organizational performance. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Category rating will be used to rank and select eligible candidates. If qualified, you will be assigned to one of three quality level categories, A (highest quality category), B (middle quality category), or C (minimally qualified category), depending on your responses to the online questions, regarding your experience, education, and training related to this position. Your rating may be lowered if your responses to the online questions are not supported by the education and/or experience described in your application. Veterans' preference is applied after applicants are assessed. Preference-eligibles will be listed at the top of their assigned category and considered before non-preference-eligibles in that category. Qualified preference-eligibles with a compensable service-connected disability of 10% or more will be listed at the top of the highest category. If you are a displaced or surplus Federal employee (eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)/Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)) you must receive a score in the middle category or better to be rated as "well qualified" to receive special selection priority.
