About the Position: This is a TERM Not to Exceed (NTE) 30 SEPTEMBER 2025 position located at the U.S. Army Military Police School at Ft Leonard Wood. Duties
Coordinate with course managers and instructors to ensure appropriate Law Enforcement (LE) unique equipment, firearms, ammunition, office automation, supplies and services needed are staged and/or delivered on-time to support training.
Maintain inventory control and hand receipts of over a million dollars in technical training equipment for all Law Enforcement Operations (LEOP)S courses to published standards.
Work with training instructors during initial class in-processing to issue equipment.
Pick up, transport, handle, secure, and issue firearms.
Manage and maintain a motor pool of training support vehicles to include police training vehicles, large 15 person vans, and trucks, either purchased or leased through the General Services Administration (GSA).
Inspect training vehicle recovery for maintenance and cleanliness before turn-in by trainers.
Conduct analysis of projected and actual usage and real expenditures to better forecast budgeting plans and prepares and presents briefings to senior level supervisors.
Utilize a computer terminal with word processing, data base management, graphics, electronic mail, electronic spreadsheets; which requires the ability to efficiently enter, revise, and retrieve data and write coherent reports.
Support training of all Law Enforcement Operations (LEOPS) branch courses on/off-site locations.
Support other Law Enforcement Operations (LEOPS) operations to include assisting with facilities work and service orders, facilities logistics, transporting firearms, managing Soldier work details, and minor maintenance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to work some overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or unscheduled training or on an emergency basis.
- May be recalled to duty from scheduled time off in emergencies, and serves as the after-hours point of contact for facilities.
- Requires employee to work under adverse environmental conditions.
- Incumbent will have to pass a pre-employment physical to meet Physical Efforts requirements; i.e., must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This position requires the employee to have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
- The incumbent must be capable of operating a motor vehicle and maintaining a valid state driver's license.
- Must have completed all required courses in order to operate non-tactical vehicles dispatched from the TMP. The incumbent is required to maintain a government driver's license.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
- Candidates under consideration will be required to certify whether they have ever been convicted of such an offense.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and
- Must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) supporting a supply system; (2) maintaining inventory accountability; (3) forecasting/predicting supply requirements; and (4) maintaining a motor vehicle fleet. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
