Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Materials Expediter (Handler). You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.
Duty Location: Folsom, California
Duties
Facilitating movement of materials and supplies in accordance with project objectives, scheduling requirements, and/or space allocation plans.
Operating forklifts, stake-bed trucks, standard pickup trucks, enclosed box vans, passenger vehicles, and various types of material handling, banding, and packaging equipment.
Receiving, sorting, tagging, and routing the movement of a variety of maintenance equipment and building materials among multiple operational areas and facilities.
Reviewing inventory lists to identify stock replenishment needs for projected workloads.
Reporting unresolved material shortages in accordance with recommended stock quantities.
Monitoring working condition of tools, equipment, and machinery used by warehouse operations and shop facilities personnel.
Examining items received to verify part numbers, stock numbers, and other data pertaining to the identification of items to specific projects.
Rearranging stocking locations or configurations to maximize storage efficiency.
Ensuring compliance with established workplace safety laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Performing other related duties as assigned within this classification.
Qualifications
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard for the WG-6900 Warehousing and Stock Handling Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet the screen-out element(s) listed and show that you possess the level of experience or demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of the position for which you are applying. Emphasis of requirements is on the quality of related experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by the evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all listed job elements to be considered qualified for this position.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and/or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours worked per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
