About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Duties
Serve as Army Sustainment Center Food Service Specialist acting as the Food Service Contracting Officer Representative (COR), and Quality Assurance Evaluators team lead.
Responsible for the execution of COR duties as primary technical expert on food service contract(s) execution and advising Food Program Manager (FPM), management, tactical unit staff, and operating officials.
Ensure the implementation of Strategic and Command level directives, general guidelines, policies, and objectives; and review implementation results and performance achieved.
Monitor contractors' performance for compliance with terms and conditions of contracts; and coordinate with responsible officials to ensure funding, waivers, certifications, and approvals are obtained.
Direct team members and resources in the accomplishment of the Food Service Surveillance mission.
Establish mission standards, organize workload, continually evaluate the effectiveness of the Surveillance Program, and make necessary changes as required.
Assist the FPM in preparation of the food service budget and analyze requirements for contracts, expendable items and supplies, and equipment replacement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning and/or coordinating food services utilizing knowledge of food service operations; 2) Conducting inspections or surveillance of food service operations; 3) Administering contracts or monitoring contractor performance; and 4) Leading personnel and/or projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Food Service Management or another related field.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
