About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Duties

Serve as the Installation Food Program Manager (FPM) responsible for developing, directing, and managing the Food Service Programs overall operational and logistics criteria. Ensure proper use of food services resources, execute, track, and adjust the food service budget ensuring that maximum results are achieved at the least cost to the government. Ensure food safety and sanitation programs are in place and operating in accordance with agency/regulatory standards. Interpret, disseminate, and implement new plans, policies, and procedures on impacting all subsistence matters and food service operations and contract matters to commanders, staff elements, contracting office, and other agencies. Establish program objectives and develops current and long-range plans for accomplishment of the Food Service Program. Supervise the Food Program office staff with responsibility for all personnel actions, planning and assigning work, and making decisions on work problems presented by subordinate employees. Oversee installation food service contract management including the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Review and validate all Performance Work Statements (PWS), PWS modifications and Independent Government Estimates for services for all food service operations contracting actions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain any food service safety certifications required by Technical Bulletin (TB) MED 530-Tri Serviced Food Code and Army Regulation 30-22 (Army Food Program).
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
