Duties

You will act as an IT Project Manager (Configuration Management) Support. You will support multiple DOD Major Defense Acquisition programs for total life cycle and configuration management support of hardware, software and systems. You will establish, document, adhere to, enforce, improve and communicate IT Project Management and Configuration Management processes for software, hardware and systems. You will provide essential Configuration Management Support and will be responsible for ensuring that the processes, activities, tasks, resources, trained staff and management support are in place. You will provide effective IT policy and planning with an emphasis in configuration management all the while providing IT project management support.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 level Basic within 12 months of appointment.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 or NO-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing IT Project Management Principles and Configuration Management planning and management, configuration identification, configuration change management (control), configuration status accounting, configuration verification and audit and data management. In addition: Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
