This position is a Supervisory Budget Analyst, GS- 0560-13 working in Lakewood, Colorado for the National Wildlife Refuge System, Region 6.

Duties

As a Supervisory Budget Analyst your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Incumbent serves as a the regional program Budget Chief directing, coordinating, monitoring, and integrating financial management functions across the regional program, including budget allocation, budget execution, reallocations, redistributions, and end-of-year close out. Analyzes budgetary and related documentation submitted by programs and field stations to ensure that regulatory, policy, programmatic, and strategic considerations have been adequately described and/or adhered to. Plans work to be accomplished; sets and adjusts priorities; prepares schedules for completion of work; and directs and reviews work. Ensures regional budget, financial management, and administrative practices and policies are consistent with Regional, Service, OMB, OPM, CFR, Department, and Treasury policies.

Qualifications

Only experience and education obtained by 10/21/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification [GS-13] One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include: 1) Develop out-year budgetary projections; 2) Analyze budgetary and related documentation to ensure regulatory, policy, programmatic, and strategic considerations have been adequately described and/or adhered to; 3) Ensure financial management and administrative practices and policies are consistent with Federal policies; 4) Lead and/or oversee the work of other team members. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
