Duties
As a Grants Management Specialist, you will:
Negotiate and execute awards and amendments to existing awards. Determine allocability of cost for cost-reimbursement awards. Assure that the following actions occur interest earned on cash advances is remitted to HUD, recipients account for proper use and accounting of program income, and recipients submit required organizational audits and/or requested Federal audits. Initiate and complete administrative closeout.
Review recommendations on budget/project modification requests and approve/disapprove recipient budget and project revisions.
Initiate the development of basic policy and procedures for PD&R grant programs assigned to the Office, including preparation of regulations, notices, and other issuances for grantees.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, or equivalent, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Managing and overseeing of the grant process; And
Negotiating and awarding grant or cooperative agreements; And
Providing grant related technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders; And
Reviewing audit reports of grants; And
Closing-out grants.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
